Harpford Weather

December 2010 was a remarkably cold month for the area and one of the coldest Decembers recorded in the UK and locally. Here are some photos from the most intense cold spell, including the 20th December when over 7 inches, 18cm fell bringing the total depth to over 25cm on many surfaces (the most for over two decades at least). On Christmas morning the minimum temperature was -14.0C, a station record, followed by -12.7C on Boxing day. The last pictures are from Boxing day, before the snow began to thaw in the evening.
