November 2012 had two major flood events within 4 days, the first was on the 21st and the second was overnight on the 24th-25th. During this spell almost 160mm of rain fell in just one week which included the highest daily rainfall total recorded by this station to date, 65mm on the 24th falling onto already extremely saturated ground due to the rain and floods earlier in the week. Overnight on the 24th-25th the river reached virtually the same height as in July (just about the 3rd/4th highest recorded, records starting in 1962). Here are some pictures taken on the 21st (by my parents as I wasn’t at home then) and of the 2nd flood on the 24th and 25th.
